Breeze Adds Phoenix to Its Network
Travelers near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) will now be able to fly to two new destinations with Breeze Airways. The new, twice-weekly flights to Provo, Utah (PVU) and Charleston, South Carolina (CHS) are set to debut on November 2, 2022. These new routes come as Breeze looks to strengthen its bases by adding more routes. Both destinations out of Phoenix are now available for booking through the Breeze website, with the service to Provo nonstop and the service to Charleston having a stop without a plane change. The carrier's introductory fares from Phoenix to Provo start at just $29 one-way. The airline would call it a "seriously nice" fare.
Breeze Strengthens Its Network
Among the new routes are additional, nonstop services from existing cities in the carrier's network. These routes include:
Charleston (CHS) - Los Angeles (LAX)
Tampa (TPA) - Syracuse (SYR)
White Plains (HPN) - Nashville (BNA)
White Plains (HPN) - Sarasota, FL (SRQ)
All routes start on either November 2 or November 4, 2022, are twice-weekly and believed to be operated by the Airbus A220 (with the exception of the White Plains flights). Despite the growth, Breeze announced it had cut its two planned transcontinental flights out of White Plains to Los Angeles and San Francisco, citing Airbus delivery delays. The reason provided leaves optimism that it will attempt to try those flights again once it has a more extensive fleet of A220s.

Breeze faces little opposition from its competitors, with only the Phoenix to Provo flight having another airline serving it nonstop. Allegiant, the current sole route operator, splits its Provo flights to Phoenix, most of which go to Phoenix-Mesa (AZA) while only two flights weekly go to Phoenix Sky Harbor. Breeze's other new flights are without direct competitors.
Breeze is entering an exciting new phase as it continues to grow and expand into new markets and solidify its presence in the industry. Breeze's expansion into Phoenix marks another growth milestone for the start up, and it seems the carrier intends to continue growing as it continues to receive new aircraft.
